Poor Bear Stearns

Filed under: Equities, Market Pulse — Jorge @ 8:13 am

Two hedge funds down the drain, a third looking to be on the ropes (at least from rumors or early reports) and now the S&P has cut their debt outlook on them dropping their stock 8+% this morning. I’m glad I’m not invested in any financial stocks. I purchased Goldman Sachs when I first began investing at $225. I had to take the loss as it started to decline along with the rest of the financial and housing markets. I sold GS at $206. That single trade is the reason I have yet to break even on my portfolio, although the sale of my LVLT covered call has gotten me very close. Stay away from the financial and housing sectors right now. It’s just not safe.
