  1. Might be a viable strategy…. but if this is such a powerful strategy – why is this guy trying to make millions selling books when he could be using his strategy to make more?

  2. He’s retired from the investment world. The only investments Cramer makes is through his charitable trust. I believe his net worth is around $40 million so I doubt he’s writing books to become rich again. There’s no reason getting rich twice. You only need to do it once ;-)

  3. Hi
Useful to find someone had written this up, I’ve heard him mention it a couple of times, but didn’t realise it was this complex – thought we were just going for downside protection in “bubble” stocks (as per his china comments – the disconnect between the “company” (or “country”) and the stock, and wanting to make money even if it is overvalued, see video “China’s bubble can make you money” in the “Cramer On Demand” section of Channel Guide).
But my main reason for writing was that your Cramer video links don’t work. But not your fault I think, as I’ve just discovered my link to the “China” video and one I had saved about options don’t work either, strange they have been changed – do you know the titles for yours or how to find them again?
    Regards
    Dave Turnbull

  4. Interesting. The links did work when I published the post. I wonder if they’re running out of file names hah! I’ll have to find it again. Hopefully they’ve archived the videos and given it a more permanent link. I should have written the titles down but I have the general dates of showing. I’ll get back to you once I find them (I hope!)
