Options:

I use a plugin called OIO Publisher. If you head to my advertising page, you'll notice a series of items for sale. Following those links takes you to a form and then a Paypal payment site. I do need to push my advertising a bit more but I'm waiting until I cross the magical 100 RSS subscriber milestone. Although I received offers from Seeking Alpha and BullPoo for permission to publish my posts on their site so that's always a start. I just need to create more quality posts which as Jon stated is quite a bit of work. But I have a feeling things should be getting easier around here now that the wedding's over.

Curious. Where do you make the private ad sales? On the website? Via a middle man?

Jon,

Thanks! I have fallen behind somewhat and sadly the blog's not the only thing that's suffered from it. We're waiting for the summer to roll around and see if the lighter work/class loads can help relieve some of the stress. Funny enough, when my nutritionist (yes, a nutritionist) asks what I'm doing to relieve stress, I tell her I trade in the markets. I think the correct answer they were looking for was something along the lines of knitting or pottery making!

Yes keeping your traffic from crashing requires constant updates. It's quite a lot of work, but it becomes more and more rewarding as times goes. You have done really well in February so keep working hard, your site is definitely worth it and really interesting to read.

Hah! The day I compete with Chow and Shoemoney is the day my dog actually speaks English instead of woof! To be honest, the past couple of months helped pay for my car insurance this term. Every little bit helps!
