By all means a cool new tool, but not innovative per se. It's essentially a RSS reader. It's nice for those who are too lazy to configure their own feeds.

Kind thanks Jorge –- really appreciate the cool review! A few notes:

- yep, a new business blogs category should be out next week ...

- the above snapshot is of our "feeds view", some visitors may prefer the alternative view we call "topics view" which displays headlines that match "hot news topics" really quickly – the switch is at top right

- as you point out, Alexa has its share of issues but for our purposes it does a good job of (1) independently determining page order in "feeds view" & (2) sorting results in our "topics view"

- at the top of newsflashr you can choose between 3 background color options (ie6 users need to upgrade to ie7 or firefox to see this feature), we’re still tweaking the look & feel based on feedback

- still working on the search feature for now

- there’s a bunch of stuff I update in our "about" section that tries to explain our advantages over other automated news aggregators, for example, next week we’ll be adding archives of news headlines so that users can go back in time and explore popular headlines from previous days

cheers,
