Another month in the books, another income report. While I’m looking to remain stable, I’d of course like to see income growth. Let’s see the numbers.
- TLA Links: $59.36
- IZEA (PayPerPost): $35.00
- TNX Links: $99.01
- Private Sales: $105.26
- Total for March 2008: $298.63
- Total for February 2008: $309.35
- % Increase/Decrease: -3.5%
Private advertising took a hit this month, losing approximately 50% of sales from last month. Text link ads from TLA and TNX increased, however, making up the difference from private advertising sales. While I’m never happy to see a decrease in growth, I’m encouraged by the stability of the blog during February and March being that a life changing event occurred. Perhaps I should find some help in the blogging department as some of you suggested now that I’m married!
Here’s a quick glance at the traffic situation from last month to this month.
- Unique Visits: 2,419
- Pageviews: 3,964
- Current RSS Subscriptions: 79
- Highest RSS Subscription Reading: 92
So close to the coveted 100 RSS subscription count. Over the next few days I need to go ahead and figure out a way to boost those numbers. Perhaps a giveaway of sorts with some of the other financial bloggers?

Congratulations! Our blogs are doing very similarly at the moment, though I gave up on PPP after last month. My subscriber numbers keep dropping, and my page views are building slowly to 1700 Uniques PM.
I haven’t done this month’s income report… but soon. We both seem to be suffering lack of readers…. perhaps our blogs aren’t directly in the ‘hot’ areas of the moment.

It seems a lot of people have seen a blog revenue decrease this month. You’ll get there… I enjoy reading your blog, and I’m sure others do (and will) too!

Well I know I didn’t bother with the whole NY prostitute scandal. Wasn’t really of interest to me I suppose. I’m about done with PPP as well. I think they, along with some changes I made to some of my links, should boost my PR back to 3. It’s amazing how dependent some folks are on Google PR, but that’s for another story.

I think you’re right. I believe advertising picks up again after the summer which is fine with me. Hopefully by then I can go ahead and redesign the blog somehow. Sadly I’ll have to end up hiring someone as I just don’t have the time to do much beyond research work. I really need to wake up 15-20 minutes earlier every day and get a blog post together but I’d be damned if I didn’t need those extra 15-20 minutes of sleep!
