Playoffs at the U.S. Open

Tiger Woods just made a clutch birdie on the 18th hole to force a playoff.  This man is just a beast.  Coming back from being out 2 months due to surgery to force a playoff for the win is just incredible.  As a result, we have another 18 holes tomorrow.  Updates to come including why LEH and AIG might be a buy and why crude should fall somewhat tomorrow.

Sendin’ Out an S.O.S.

Wonder if the markets were listening to Sting today. Granted, we’re up about 120 points but volume appears to be almost anemic. I’ll have an update near the close but so far it’s paying off to stay focused.

Frustration and Exaustion

Filed under: Blog Updates — Jorge @ 4:54 am

First off, let me apologize for not being around the past couple of weeks. Life has a funny thing where it tends to throw 100 events at you at once before relenting. Keeping it short, between potentially finding a job due to the graduate situation here as well as random acts of stuff (flat tires, medical, vet, car), physically and financially my wife and I are tired.

Trading wise, I’m still down, and down hard. At this point I may need to just walk away for a few days and clear my head. I did have a nice a-ha moment last week, and while that a-ha moment paid nicely on Friday on a down 400 day, yesterday I gave every last dime back and then some. So at this point in terms of trading, I’m feeling a bit lost again. I need to find a trading partner and fast.

Looks like futures are down heavily this morning after some comments by Bernanke last night regarding inflation. I promise to update throughout the day but something tells me this selloff pre-market might not hold. Then again, the action across the markets in general have just been weird.
