Long SPY Feb 85 Calls
February 10, 2009 | Posted by Jorge Long SPY Feb 85 Calls @ 1.47. I’m seeing the SPY on a 30d/30m chart riding an upward trendline. If the trend breaks, I’ll exit. I doubt I’ll hold this through the rest of the week.

Stopped out of USO @ 26.97
February 10, 2009 | Posted by Jorge Stopped out EOD at 26.97. 7% loss which was near my max pain threshold. I like to close trades within the last 10 minutes of trading as it removes emotion from the trade. Had USO hit $26, my emergency stop would have been hit, no questions asked. Sold SMN @ 38.50
February 10, 2009 | Posted by Jorge Sold SMN at $38.50 after a 10% move since Friday. Not a bad start to the year thusfar! I’m sure the markets could sink even further from here, but there’s no shame in taking profits. Not in this environment.
